Would you like to be part of the 2012 Logest Golf Day Challenge on 7th July 2012. We at Ravenmeadow Golf Club, Mens Section would look to have at least 2 or 3 teams complete the 72 holes in day and raise monies for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Contact David Lamb or Dave Broad if you want to be part of this great event.
The day will then culminate in a end of event BBQ for all family friends and helpers on the day.
We now have two teams ready to raise monies. So if you want to be part of the day make contact today.
In team 1 we have David Lamb, Dave Broad, Roy Coombes and Richard Markham.......called THE RAVENMEADOW RAVENS.

On the DAY
Record ONLY the best 2 stableford scores on each hole, full handicap allowance.
1. Start your challenge at first light, we are aiming for around 4:30am.
2. Have a healthy light breakfast before you start, a light brunch after two rounds and a snack before your final round. Take some bananas and cereal bars with you for an added energy boost.
3. Drink lots of water, at least one bottle per round. And stay off the booze until the 73rd hole!
4. Make sure your golf shoes are comfortable and worn-in. And try to have a quick shower after two rounds, changing your shirt and socks. This will leave you feeling refreshed and raring to go again.
5. Play off the YELLOW tees and don't spend time looking for lost balls - they are unlikely to score any way. As time is precious, the first person ready on each hole should tee off first.
6. Have Family and friends walk with you during the final round to give you moral support for those tired hands, legs and heads.
